Through my camera and photography, I strive to capture the essence, the humanity of the moment. I want to bring the viewers into the world of my subjects. I have always been intrigued and drawn to the ways of the old west. Its lifestyle and culture. I had no interest in photographing the action in the rodeo arena. I wanted to photograph and document the preparation and emotions of the cowboys as they await their attempt at the 8 second ride.
